Diane began with SVF in 1995 as our Receptionist / Customer Service Rep. She now focuses more of her time on Inventory, Human Resource and assisting our Accountant with the books. When not at work, Diane enjoys teaching Sunday School and spending time with her husband (Eric) and GIANT breed dogs (Ripley & Vader).

Khaled Bari, a Certified Crop Advisor, joined the SVF team in the fall of 2014. Prior to this he was an Agronomic Advisor with Cargill at peace region, where he was responsible for managing AgSense Pro and CropSense customers. His previous professional experience includes Agriculture Extension Officer in the Ministry of Agriculture, Bangladesh. He also worked in the Ministry of Land, Bangladesh as a consultant Agronomist for Land zoning process (Land use) in the coastal areas. Khaled obtained a Masters of Science in Agronomy from Bangladesh Agricultural University and another Masters in Physical Land Resources (Major in Soil Science) from University of Gent, Belgium. He is very passionate about crop scouting, micronutrients, precision agriculture and issues with soil fertility. When he is not at work he enjoys spending time with his family. He also likes ice hockey and soccer.
Russell was drafted to the Sturgeon Valley Fertilizers team in the spring of 2008. He studied Agriculture at the University of Lethbridge before serving as a Crop Protection Representative for DuPont Canada. His interests include skiing, windsurfing and Latin America.
Richard (Rick) started working for SVF as a Shop Technician in the Spring of 2014. Rick has an extensive agricultural background and decades of farm field management expertise. He also has mechanical and welding experience and operates a variety of farm equipment and semi-trucks. Rick loves spending time with his wife (Cora), daughter (Rachel) and son-in-law (Justin). Rick also enjoys creating metal art sculptures and going hunting and fishing.
Hector started with SVF as a seasonal tender truck driver in 2014. In 2018 he was hired as a full-time member of our production staff and he continues to work as a driver in our busy seasons. In his free time he enjoys going to the lake and out to concerts with his wife, Connie.
Taylor began working with SVF in 2013 as a summer student and was hired on full-time in the Fall of 2017. In 2017 she graduated from Olds College with an Applied Science degree, majoring in Agribusiness. Taylor loves spending her free time helping her Dad on the farm, camping, hunting, playing ringette, and riding her street-bike. She has also been excited to take up a new hobby, mountain sledding!
Henriette joined SVF in 2002 helping with ammonia dispatching. She has now taken on the role of Safety Coordinator. While she is away from SVF, Henriette loves to garden. She also farms with her family outside of Legal.
Ken has been with SVF since March 2011. He moved out to Alberta from Ontario 31 years ago. He enjoys the outdoors. Ken has two sons. One of his sons attends the University of Alberta, and the other son plays junior football in Kelowna, BC.
Matthew joined the agronomy team in December 2015. Matthew received his diploma in Agri-Business from Assiniboine Community College in May 2014. Previous to joining SVF he worked as an agronomist on a mixed farm in Manitoba that sold potatoes, grain and cattle. Matthew was born and raised in Neepawa, Manitoba, and in his free time he enjoys curling and playing hockey.
Tom has been with SVF since 1997. Tom brings plenty of farming experience to the SVF team. He is also a Certified Crop Advisor. Tom enjoys cross-country skiing, triathlon, and spending more time in Cuba.
With SVF since 1999, Doris takes care of both commercial and farm accounts. Doris and her husband farm near Thorhild. Doris and her husband raise Shire horses and belong to the Western Canadian Wagon Train Club. They provide wagon rides and sleigh rides for groups and also do weddings, etc. Also enjoys quadding, sledding, skiing, and horseback riding and the great outdoors.
Amy was recruited by the SVF agronomy team in the winter of 2016 from Namao. She is a Certified Crop Advisor, a member of the Institute of Agrologists and has completed a BSc of Environmental Science from the University of Alberta. Previously, she has worked in various agronomy roles with Cargill Ltd and Dupont Pioneer. Amy is passionate about agriculture and helping farmers reach their goals. When not at work, Amy loves spending time with her husband, Jason, and her children, Jett and Autumn. She enjoys traveling, golfing and gardening.
With SVF since 1996, Eric has a BSc in Agriculture and is a Certified Crop Advisor. Eric began as an agronomist, then assistant manager and now he oversees all farming and commercial operations in Legal. He is an avid hockey player, coach, husband and father of three kids.
Louis joined SVF in 2007. He worked at SVF in the 1990’s as a part time employee and is now our Plant Consultant. In his off time, Louis can be found working on his yard. He also farms with his family in the Legal area.

Wade has been the InVigor Breeding Agronomy Manager with Bayer for the past 18 years. His family is currently living in Sherwood Park. We are very excited to have someone like Wade with significant experience in our industry, to be part of our SVF team. Wade started working with us on May 1st, 2015.
Andrew started working as a seasonal employee in the plant in 2010 while he was attending post-secondary for accounting and has since been made a full-time employee in November 2015. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball and football.
Kevin began with SVF in 2004. Kevin does a wonderful job maintaining SVF’s equipment and yard site. When not busy keeping the Legal plant running smoothly, he can be found working in his yard and snowmobiling.
Mike worked at SVF from 1991-1996 as a yard hand, then again as a driver in the fall of 2014, and is currently working as the Plant Operations Manager since the spring of 2015. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, and their kids: Holly, Joel, Josie, and Jared. He also enjoys skiing and fly-fishing when he gets a spare moment.

Cory started working at SVF in 2006 as a seasonal employee while attending University. In the spring of 2012, Cory became a full time agronomist and account manager. His education background includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree and Crop Technology diploma. When not in the field checking on crops he is helping out in the office. Cory also handles dispatching the dry and liquid fertilizer delivery and custom application services. In 2015, he was promoted to assistant general manager. Cory will continue working as an agronomist but his focus is now on supporting both our customers and staff members. When not at work, Cory enjoys spending time with his wife Victoria and daughter Elizabeth. He also enjoys golfing, waterskiing, snowmobiling with his Dad, and is an avid Nascar fan.
Since 1989 Kent has played a major role in developing the SVF agronomy team. His passion for agriculture is apparent throughout his work and he displays a much diversified range of agronomic knowledge. Among his accomplishments is a diploma from Olds College and a Certified Crop Advisor status. When not at work, Kent enjoys spending time with his family.
Since 1992, Andre has worked all facets of the business, starting as a labourer/operator, and ending up as branch manager. Andre has a diploma from Olds College and he also has his Certified Crop Advisor status.
Brad started with SVF in October 2017 as a service technician. Prior to working at SVF, he spent four and a half years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a vehicle technician. In his spare time he likes to go to the gym and spend time with his wife, Jasmine.
Jasmine has been with SVF part-time since the spring of 2011. She was hired on full-time in 2014. Jasmine loves to spend time with her husband, Brad Murray. She also loves to play the piano and sing at her church.
Mark started part-time with SVF in the spring of 2011. Shortly after, he became a full-time employee. Mark was born and raised on a farm in Calahoo. When Mark is not at work, he likes working on his trucks.
Dillis joined SVF in January of 2014. She has a BSc in Agriculture and worked for Alberta Agriculture and DuPont for a number of years. Dillis also spends time at Leon’s Auto Service where her two sons and husband Leon operate the family business. She enjoys spending time at the cabin, quadding , and riding horses.
Michelle was hired in June 2011 to help out part-time in the office. Michelle moved to Legal in 2007. When she’s not at work she enjoys spending her time with her two boys and husband. She also enjoys playing softball in the summer.
Shelby joined SVF in fall of 2015. She grew up in Red Deer and worked for Crop Production Services as a field scout in Penhold for two summers before completing her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. She worked for a year and a half at an environmental consulting firm out of Edmonton before deciding agriculture was where she wanted to be. In her spare time she enjoys camping, hunting, hiking, hanging out with her dogs and watching all kinds of sports.
Tim joined Sturgeon Valley Fertilizers in the Spring of 2015. He lives with his lovely wife, Sara, daughter, Rachel & son, Zeke. Tim likes to spend his time in the mountains or with his family and friends.
Carol started working with us part-time in the fall of 2016. Carol is a lifelong resident of Legal. She has a part-time, home-based office business. She is also steadily involved in the community. When she is not at work she enjoys spending her time with her husband and their daughter.
Adele joined SVF in the fall of 2007. Adele grew up on a mixed farm near Legal. She then pursued a diploma in Ag- Business at Lakeland College. She enjoys assisting farmers with any of their agricultural concerns.
